We Are Two Wild and Crezy Guys!!!

So not only are we hot and good looking guys now, but we were some sexy beasts back then too!! OK, OK, so maybe Brock and I are digressing in our good looks, but it's good to remember the good ol' days of busted up foreheads and blond afros. These were the days of bombs we made by filling up Pepsi bottles full of dirt, then lighting a fuse we put in it and running as fast as out little legs would carry us. We learned that even if I thought cashews were good, they'd make Brock swell up like a balloon and pass out til he's almost "walking toward the light". It's fun to light fires. Its scary to run from parents who see us lighting those fires. Walking to 7-11 everyday is good exercise. Eating a cake that you know has egg whites in it is a bad idea. Crackin your skull helps you get to know the medical staff at the "hosible" real well. "Hey look Aunt Sue, look how good I can swim"...as he gradually sinks into the deep end. However, laying down on the hot concrete pavement is a great way to dry off after a good swim. Nintendo is a member of the family...and we spent alot of "family time" downstairs. Since when were fireworks just for the 4th of July? Aren't they for whenever you find them?!

We learned that Field Day is the best day, no matter if you're gold or maroon, but it seemed like maroon always won. The bike rodeo was also pretty dang rad. It was good to make friends with kids who had hot air balloons cause we sure as frick weren't gettin one of those. And it's also fun to go fight friends just because Eric tells us to. Going to work with our dad's was so much fun...til we actually had to work, then it sucked. You can find all sorts of crap when you walk around in the desert all day. And you can expect to find a butt whoopin when you walk all the way to Ed Fountain Park with your two little sisters who got heat exaustion from the expedition.

But, all these lessons and experiences lead to just a few things...everything good back then is still good now, except for those cashews, they're still bad. Big gulps eh?? Well, see ya later!

A Big Gulp Slurpee...please. I was wondering when you where going to bring up our little adventure to that blasted park! I don't really remember that, but that was prolly due to the heat exaustion and dehydration! Oh how you guys have grown, from Piccole Pete's and putting whipper snapper's in my diapers to Acetylene bombs, peein' in the mortar and pestle to gettin' kicked off the Sun Coast property for throwing parachute men off the roof. Those/these are the day!!!

I wish I had a picture of me in that speedo!! I bet my mom does...I need to get my hands on that sucker (the picture, not the speedo). Oh and believe me, we've done dumb things in our lives, but the stupidest I'm sure is still to come!!!

Brock looks like Charlie Bucket.

I love the difference in the two pictures of your hair color. When you were little it was so light that it started to blend in with the sky. And then in your profile picture, your hair in the darkest tone in there!

Oh how things have changed, now i have the tarzan thong and veronica thinks its the coolest, haaa! Frick, all my buds are in utah and now i just wanna go blow something up, where's that explosive dirt at? Also there were the many awesome sleep overs to toilet paper gordo bywaters house and for bryce to put toothpaste all over the fletchers new car! Do you remember how eric would make us hold apples to practice his blowdart skillz? Time goes by so much faster now, so i have to drive really fast to catch up, that's my excuse officer and i'm stickin to it! Good blog ryan..... good blog

Love it! I knew you could find that picture! Life was great back then, it is now, and it will be in the future. As for running from parents, we will be (or are) the parents now. Will the things are kids do seem as cool or not dangerous? To them of course! We will be wondering what we've done wrong to raise such retarded kids and wonder where we can find a speedo like that for Spence!

Oh man!!! I'm laughing soooo hard right now...I don't even know where to start! I can still remember the smell of your basement blending in with our chlorinated bodies, taquitos or tuna sandwiches, Macayos hot sauce, hot chocolate and Nintendo games!!! Oh and Super Nintendo too...don't forget him!

Why can't we be kids again? Acutally, who ever said we've stopped? Hmmm.....there's a question for ya! And Lyd I was TOTALLY going to mention the whipper snappers in your diaper and making you sit down on your bird poop and pine needle infested drive-way. You beat me to the punch. Um the blue van...that's all I have to say...

Oh and lighting fireworks/crackers...totally brings back the good ol' days of yore! Remember Bo chasing the rose ones....?

Now we can go into my basement, not smelling like good chlorinated bodies, eat taquitos or tuna sandwiches, with no Macayo's smooth sause, with Stephen's hot chocolate, and play Guitar Hero. Hey maybe we CAN smell like chlorine if my parents get a hot tub!! Then we can smell like that in the winter time too! The whole family needs to push this subject for the better of all of us.

Im sure that me and Kj were some how responsible for you guys when you took that park field trip. We were such good babysitters. So much remenicing going on, Kj and I had 7-11 Down to the T. We asked each of our parents for money one Sat. By the time they realized that we had decieved our way to about $40, we were headed home with bags!!!!! We were so busted. P.S. I luv the pic.

Ryan & Lauren Nelson said...

See! All the dumb stuff we did was because we watched our older sisters and learned from their examples! Good thing we did cause life would've been flippin boring if we weren't causing our parents grief.

eh eemmmmm (with an e because I AM from Utah)......anyone else think Brock looks like Charlie Bucket?

Man you guys are cute! I want to be your cousin, you guys had some good times. I'm jealous!

Totally Brock! Back then of course.

there is nothing scarier than us bookin' it down Serene with bags full of crap and dust flying behind Aunt Jeanette's mini van! My thoughts at the time, "Aw man, I am soooo dead! Do I keep running or just give up now? NO! RUUUUNNNNNNN!"

Lyd said...

Brock is totally the old one and Riley is totally the new one. We're just a family of
choc-lateers!

-KJ said...

Brock has the golden ticket!

Ryan it has been way too long! I happened to stumble upon your blog from Ashlee & Kenny Sorsen's blog. Good times!

Cortney said...

Hey! Its not fair that I posted my embarrasing picture and you put up a cute one. I want to see the dirty ones! Probably not the one in the speedo though.

-KJ said...

Come on Cortney, the speedo one is the best. From far away he looked naked!!!

Ryan & Lauren Nelson said...

I'll try to get that speedo one soon. In fact, maybe I'll take a current one in a leopard skin speedo so I can do a side by side comparision... Maybe...

Cortney said...

HA HA! I am kind of laughing at the thought of it.

Ryan & Lauren Nelson said...

Your laughing will soon turn into oooing and ahhing...so watch it. Better schedule that bishop's interview now so you can keep your thoughts clean later... A big JK.

-KJ said...

Ry, no socks allowed. That just made me throw up a little in my mouth saying that to my little brother! Please go tanning first before you get any ideas. Ease the pain for us.

Ryan & Lauren Nelson said...

Ease the pain?!?! I just threw up a little seeing that my sister said that about her little brother. I will go tanning however. I have this damn membership thing that I've never used and probably won't ever use. I'm a little peeved about it. Oh well, I'll go get tan know so I look good in my man thong.

Cortney said...

Maybe you should go tanning in your man thong! Thats a thought for you.

Eliza said...

here is a visual for ya...I once saw Scott Hardy in a man thong...why am I reminding myself?

Ryan & Lauren Nelson said...

Thats so gross Eliza. Nasty. I at least think I have the butt for one and could possibly not look too gross. I love my butt though so I'm a bit biased.

-KJ said...

Throws up in mouth, again.
